Ambassador Robert Lighthizer served as the United States Trade Representative from 2017Āā21, following decades as a leading practitioner of international trade law. His work negotiating U.S. trade agreements and redefining the U.S.ĀāChina relationship delivered some of the most consequential achievements of the Trump administration.
Jonathan Baron is the principal of Baron Public Affairs, which he founded in 2006. He has advised some of the worldās most important organizations, including members of the Fortune 10 and the U.S. Department of Defense, on developing strategy and mitigating political risk.
Neil Patel is the publisher of the Daily Caller, which he co-founded with Tucker Carlson in 2010. He previously served as chief policy advisor to Vice President Dick Cheney and is also the co-founder and managing director of Bluebird Asset Management.
Baron, Lighthizer, and Patel join Cass; David Azerrad, Hillsdale College assistant professor and research fellow; Michael Needham, chief of staff to Senator Marco Rubio; and Julius Krein, founder and editor of American Affairs, on the American Compass board.
